A Seventh Grader’s View about the Hunger History

Have you ever seen hungry people on the streets and have wondered what made them like this? Hunger comes from multiple occurrences. There are three main reasons that cause hunger which are poverty, weather conditions, and war, besides many other reasons. Problems like these cause people to starve and each problem makes it harder for them to survive. One real big reason for hunger is caused by weather conditions.
Weather conditions and the climate can make it hard for people to acquire food. Climate change leaves the crops destroyed, and farmland becomes unfertile. Freshwater sources become salinized, so water can’t be used for farming. Droughts, floods, storms, hurricanes and other natural calamities cause shortage of food. Eighty percent of people in developing countries depend on agriculture for livelihood. Farmers will have to buy food from market because they cannot grow their own crops. Weather conditions aren’t the only problem causing hunger, poverty and unstable markets also leads to food crisis.
People in poverty might not have enough money or materials to buy food or farm land for cultivation. Poverty and hunger causes very severe health problems. Approximately 896 million people in developing countries live on less than $2 a day. …show more content…

The people in poverty suffer the most because their homes and food resources get destroyed. An example of this action is the wars of Liberia. The rebel groups stole animals, interrupted trade networks, and destroyed houses, farm fields. All of this leads to more hunger and malnutrition, which is a health problem. Malnutrition occurs when someone doesn’t eat regularly which increases the chances of infection and hypothermia. Also malnutrition affects kids the most. War and conflict affects all kind of people around the world and can have serious consequences based on
