Moon Landing Conspiracy Theory “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind,” (Neil Armstrong, 1969). At first glance, it may seem like we actually sent people to the moon and they returned safely. People have failed to notice, however, that NASA didn’t cover up everything completely when faking the first moon landing. If people continue to believe that America sent people on the moon and that they returned unharmed, they will never understand the larger question of exactly how they did it. That is, if they actually did.
" President Kennedy established the peace corps. President Kennedy also set goal to put man on the moon. President Kennedy's project Apollo was the first manned expedition to the moon. Another one of President Kennedy's accomplishments was abolishing the death
The Moon Landing helped in numerous ways. One was that it fulfilled Kennedy’s promise to land on the Moon, but most importantly it helped Americans continue to adhere to the American way of life, as “many feared that the beams of American life were coming apart,”(Crompton 1) and stay prideful of America for it had accomplished a difficult, long-lasting legacy, and unprecedented event. This event was highly anticipated, since ex-president Kennedy promise Americans that it would be achieved. Therefore, thousands of people came to attend the memorable event and “watch mighty boasters lift the rockets into the sky.” (Crompton 4)
Conspiracy theories have become a real complication and are used to find out if something that was planned is actually true or a hoax. Some examples of these are the existence of bigfoot, mass shootings set forth by political parties, and the events that took place on September 11, 2001. Many of these conspiracy theories have multiple sides and viewpoints for people to gather and form ideas of what they think happened. One of the most debated conspiracy theories was the moon landing. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stepped off the Apollo 11 landing craft onto the foreign landscape of the moon and said these words,’That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Most people take for granted that the US moon landing really did happen. Surprisingly, there are many who believe that the entire event was completely staged. In fact, if one were to google the moon landing, they would discover there are countless websites devoted to both sides of this argument. The purpose of this essay is to settle this question and provide undeniable proof that on July 20, 1969 the Apollo 11 team made history and put the first man on the moon.
JFK even promised to land on the moon before the 1970’s so we could’ve faked the landings to prevent embarrassment. Also, the “moon rocks” that astronauts bring to earth could just as well be pieces of meteorites. Seriously, moon rocks look similar to meteorites, but how do ordinary citizens know what a moon rock looks like? We 've never been to the moon! The rocks could have been pieces of meteorites!
President Kennedy’s moon speech at Rice University came at a time of high uncertainty regarding technology and the threat of war. Kennedy’s emotive speech aimed to lift and inspire those who feared the worst and to encourage the population to grow and achieve their greatest potential. The ‘moon speech’ will be analysed by uncovering key components of the speech that created a lasting impression on the authors of this report. It is important to firstly explore and identify the traits and attributes of leadership exhibited by President Kennedy in this speech. Additionally, a discussion amongst group members will be necessary to ascertain how and why this speech was inspiring, and whether this speech could be considered as the greatest speech
Kennedy was sworn as the 35th president at noon on January 20, 1941. In his inaugural address he spoke of the need of Americans to be active citizens famously saying “Ask not what you can do for your country, Ask what you can do for your country”. The address reflects kenndys confidence that his administration would chart an historically significant course in both domestic policy and foreing affairs. Foreign policy was dominated by America confrontations with the Soviet Union manifested by proxy contests in the early stage of the Cold War. Also one of the best things he do was to set the goal of “ landing a man on the moon and returning the same man back to the earth” by the end of the decade Kennedy speech transformed NASA and the space program.
Also according to “Future of Space”, certain humanitarian needs have to be met on Earth, once they have been met this leads to more technology advantages and opportunities that can really benefit space exploration in the future. Americans should take the time to explore space because it’s not too expensive and it creates more and more technology advantages. One reason why Americans should explore space is that humans are naturally curious and competitive and want to explore beyond the Earth. According to “Leaving Main Street”, it states that if they take away space exploration society, will have forgotten what it’s like to be a human.
On July 20, 1969, along with the rest of the world, Dick was mesmerized as he watched Apollo 11 land on the moon. Larry and Jessie, entered the living room just as Neil Armstrong announced that, “The Eagle has landed.” With more than half a billion people tuned in around the world, we stood behind Dick and looked over his shoulder, watching Neil climb down the ladder to proclaim, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” As “Buzz”Aldrin joined him on the lunar surface, we observed for two and a half hours, speechless, while they collected samples of rocks and dust and took photographs before leaving behind an American flag and a plaque with the words: Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the moon. We came in peace for all mankind.
On July 20, 1969, astronaut Neil Armstrong walked on the moon: or perhaps not. That is what some people think. They believe the "Moon Landings" were faked, in order to cheat the public out of billions of dollars and so that we could win the space race against the Soviet Union. According to conspiracy theorists, the scientists at N.A.S.A. realized during the Apollo missions that either is was technically impossible to reach the Moon ir that it cost too much. So, the government built a secret movie studio somewhere in the southwest and used special effects to pretend that the astronauts had landed on the Moon.
On July 20th, 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed on the surface of the moon. It was certainly one of the most extraordinary events accomplished by mankind up to that date. Neil Armstrong’s first words upon stepping on the moon surface will always be remembered “ A small step for mankind, a giant leap for humanity”. Ever since then, this achievement has been a matter of discussion by several groups that either believed or disbelieved this.
When Neil Armstrong first touched down on the moon in 1969, millions of people watched him take the first step and create history (Villard). Yet even as we’ve moved on from the moon landings and consider them as a pivotal point for mankind, “Forty years after U.S. astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon, many conspiracy theorists still insist the Apollo 11 moon landing was an elaborate hoax”(Than). The idea that our voyage to the moon was deliberately staged seems to resurface year after year. While the conspiracy theorists claim the moon landing was a hoax, creating a fake moon landing would have been more expensive and difficult than actually reaching the moon. The race to the moon began on October 5, 1957, when the Soviet Union launched Sputnik into orbit around the earth: “When the Soviet Union launched the satellite Sputnik, on October 4, 1957, the United States experienced a technological identity crisis”(Olson).
