In the book Of Mice and Men, Lennie and George’s relationship is strong. They seem to have been friends for a long time. George cares about Lennie a lot and he can’t let him roam by himself because he knows that Lennie will get in trouble and he won’t know how to control himself. George cares about Lennie so much that he can’t let him do crazy things. George gave up his future and his like to take care of his dear friend. Their relationship is so strong that Lennie feels that he can ask George anything. They set goals for each other and even though times got hard they stuck together. As much as George wanted to leave and care for himself and get a good job he just worked with what he had because he knew that there was someone that wasn’t gonna make it without him. George cared for Lennie like he was his son or even brother. He would never leave Lennie behind, if Lennie got in trouble George always had his back. Whenever Lennie was stuck on something George helped him remember. Although Lennie made him irritated George kept his cool because he understood that Lennie just isn’t always capable of understanding what he is saying or doing. He knows that when Lennie does stuff it isn’t purposeful he understands Lennie’s confusion but it triggers George. George and Lennie are companions and I know that if I have a friend that is long lost in the world then i’m going to help them to the best of my ability. He had Lennie’s back all of the time.
