My entire life has been full of religion. When I say this I mean that I grew up in a VERY religious family. I’ve also had friends that were the same, or even different religion as me. My religion growing up was Christianity. In this essay I will talk about three main points in how Christianity has impacted my life. I will discuss church, friendships, and my attitude towards life. Ever since I can remember, my parents have brought me to church with them whenever they go. The first church I can remember going to is Desert Springs. Throughout the years we changed churches multiple times. Last year a good friend invited me to SouthWest Church. Since then, I have stayed at that church. I also go to a youth group on Wednesday’s with my friends. Through church I have made many friends that I still know today. When I was younger my parents had friends that were Catholic. Throughout my years of learning about my religion, I have also learned about other religions such as Catholicism, Buddhism, and Hinduism. These all have helped me look at life differently than most people. If you only have an understanding of your own religion, you wouldn’t look at anyones point of view but your own. Buddhism has taught me to be forgiving and patient. It has also taught me to think before I act or speak. Catholicism has taught me how to act internally and how to be respectful. Hinduism has taught me about diversity-how everyone is human and everyone should be treated like one. I have learned a lot from these religions that I will cling onto for the rest of my life. Christianity has impacted me the most. I learned to look at life more optimistically and be forgiving. I am who I am today because of my religion and I am proud to say
