Ending Slavery
Abraham Lincoln was a licensed bartender before he gave that job up in 1834 due to winning the state legislator (fact spynet). Abraham was the 16th president that led from November 6, 1860 to the day he got assassinated, April 15, 1865. He stood up as a wise men, and wanted and tried to end slavery. After a while Abraham Lincoln made many lives better as he ended slavery.
African Americans were forced to do jobs in slavery. Stated U.S History Pre-Columbian to the New Millennium “Beyond these duties, slaves might also be expected to clear land, build a fence, or perform other odd jobs as the circumstances might dedicate.” Slaves also worked in fields, and other hard labor work. Some women slaves worked inside or watched their children. If slaves did not do their work or disobey their owners they would get punished.

He was the one who didn't like slavery and thought it should end. Later on he impacted many people's life, but until then he had many beliefs why slavery should be ended. Lincoln thought everyone should be equaled, “If he was human being then he was included in the proposition that all men are created equal.” (hopkins 2008). Lincoln also thought it didn't matter if you're African Americans or americans you're still created equal.
Wanting everyone to hear, Lincoln spike to the people and viewed slavery as a major topic. He wrote papers and tried to get people to see what he saw. Lincoln began his public career in 1832, he tied four times in 1834 to 1840 but winning and holding office in the General (Jonathan E. Helm). After that lincoln tried really hard and his qualities led to presidency in 1860. When Lincoln won president many lives got better. “The proclamation promised freedom for slaves held in any of the union by the end of the year.” (Encyclopedia britannica School).
