Becoming a Professional Veterinarian Technician In today’s society higher education is not an option, but rather a necessity. Therefore becoming a professional veterinarian technician is very important to me because I love working with animals and want to help them stay well. “One of the most important things about setting goals while in school is to be distinct, achievable, and rewarding in order to keep you moving forward”(Milner, 2016). In order to be a veterinarian technician, I will have to set high goals and earn my degree to graduate as a veterinarian technician. I will have to go to college and earn all the credits required to be able to do the job to work with the animals. Planning and scheduling will be needed so I can do both jobs well and receive my diploma in the required time period. Hopefully, I will graduate in 2020. In order to obtain my degree, I must work very hard to reach my goal. I will have to study productively and use the study skills that I have learned up to this point to pass, obtain good grades and graduate. I have to stay on a set schedule so I can keep up with my studies and acquire the good grades that I feel I will need to be able to obtain a job when I graduate. The measurement of my goal will be the record that shows I have taken the classes I need to, maintained passing grades, and earned the number of credits I need to pass all of my classes.
