A Year of Change
It's amazing just how much can change in a short period of time, and this year has shown me that more than anything else. I don't remember much about learning to read and write. I'm sure it was an average experience and I learned to read and write in first grade like everyone else. This past year, however, my views on reading and writing have changed drastically. Being in the Human Service program I've, learned that documentation is everything, read less than ideal books, and completely changed my reading preferences. The past two semesters have taught me a lot, especially about myself.

They are very in depth, confusing and
sometimes you have to read the chapters multiple times to understand what it all means. Before, I would have read some mystery book or the Harry Potter series for the thousandth time. One of the first books Mrs. Foster told us to buy is the APA format textbook. This year has shown me that just because a book isn't fun to read, there's so much information there that I'm going to use in my everyday life.
Reading has always been a favorite pass time. The book shelves in my room are filled completely with stories I have read and reread, that’s changed a lot this year. Instead of reading books, I like to read case studies now and think about what I would so if I was presented with that kind of client. My favorite kind of books to read are mystery and crime novels. I suppose case studies are somewhat the same, you go through the case and play out what would happen if you make a certain decision and try to help your client have the best
