For $90 you can buy a living, breathing human being. This is a horrible fact that needs to be changed. That is why I am here today. I would like to inform you about a particular form of human trafficking. Forced labour, or slavery.
For me and I’m sure for many of you, knowing that you can buy the life of another being in general is horrific. But for under $100? It is confronting.
And it is something I want to change. No human life should ever have a price tag.
Human Trafficking by definition is the act of recruitment, transportation, or harbouring of people by the means of threat, abduction, or vulnerability, for the purpose of exploitation.

I believe that if we work together, nation beside nation, we will accomplish the extermination of forced labour. I believe if we eradicate forced labour, we can eradicate all other aspects of human trafficking. I believe that this is something that humanity must accmomplish.
The experiences that people forced into labour have to experience are sickening. They endure things no human being should ever have to experience.

There are three factors that each nation in the world needs to consider and apply in order to stop forced labour. These are Prevention, Protection, and Prosecution.
If we are able to stop force labour at its core, before the act of human trafficking even occurs. Then we will be able to put a stop to not only slavery but to the other forms of human trafficking as well. In order to prevent human trafficking we need to educate those in high-risk areas about the dangers of accepting unprecedented job offers.
There are countries in our world today that still do not have viable legalisations in place against forced labour. In order to stop forced labour each nation needs to protect its citizens against the dangers. Putting into place sustainable laws will not only make it harder for traffickers to commit the crime but will also decrease the number of people forced to work in violent and inhumane
