I graduated Year 12 from Thornlie Christian College in 2009. I, then, attended Polytechnic West (now North Metropolitan TAFE) where I acquired a Certificate IV in Business and Diploma of Business. Further to this, I have also graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Arts where I studied professional writing as a part of my degree, and, more recently, my Bachelor of Arts (Honours).

Additionally, through my employment, I have been thoroughly trained in customer service, code of conduct issues, national privacy laws and maintaining professionalism at work.

These duties encompass preparing direct mailings and correspondence, accurately completing all required paperwork, ensuring that records are updated when new information is received and data-entering customer information.

Customer Focus

Through my employment, I have provided high levels of customer service in all the roles I have held. My primary responsibility requires me to efficiently respond to inquiries from customers, staff and suppliers via face-to-face communication, telephone and e-mail, to establish and maintain satisfaction and positive experiences with the store. To achieve this, I endeavour, as a customer service team member to provide the customer with options when unable to deliver a requested product or service, as well as seek the appropriate solutions to issues.

Communication Skills

Both my higher-tertiary studies and employment experience, have required high-order verbal and written communication skills to execute my responsibilities effectively. For example, my studies have often required team-work within group presentations and assignments in which open communication and careful listening to the perspectives, and contributions, of others have been necessary to avoid confusion, uncertainty and confrontation.

An example of my interpersonal skills is when I have worked in group situation in which communication has been an issue. To overcome this, I have endeavoured to open a channel of communication for the group through social media as well as set up face-to-face group meetings, as required, where everybody can contribute to planning and discussion and record what occurred at those meetings so that notes can be distributed to absent members.
