I am writing to inform you of my interest in pursuing the Major in Human Relations program offered by the Faculty of Arts in Science at Concordia University. I solidified my passion for social sciences and human nature after completing my first year at post-secondary this past April of 2017. This experience left me with many unanswered questions concerning the state of my life, other’s lives and our shared world. These questions led me to pursue a gap year to achieve further clarity surrounding my educational direction, and the best possible path to highlight my academic strengths and allow me to positively impact the lives of others. Applied Human Sciences appealed to my fascination for the implications of positive and negative experiences we endure through various relationships over different social contexts, and how individuals can help foster constructive relations that promote learning and growth.
