Value proposition: ABB terminal will allow all stakeholders to leverage and start their operations based on extensive knowledge of ABB in electrical equipment. ABB terminal will help to connect internet of things, services and people under an individual platform powered by internal algorithm of ABB, providing users with a top-end knowledge about Low Voltage Motors and possibly expand to all the product offering from ABB. Overview: ABB terminal will enable ABB to enter new markets by taking advantage of the of big-data collected through SMTs as well as their experience in different products and industries they operate in. The platform will enable stakeholders to access real-time data created by using ABB’s highly developed algorithm in order …show more content…

Currently, Big Data is collected through their current product analytic devices (eg. MACHsense-R) and will be strengthened with the Smart Motor Tag device. This is an opportunity to create new markets within the industry they operate. ABB would need to create / acquire an algorithm that would transform their current data in the system with the collected data from the SMT and adopt it for various trends demanded in the industry (eg. commodity prices, spare part expenses, etc.). ABB can also enter the predictive analytics market, which is according to Deloitte (2013) one of the fastest growing markets inside the Big Data analytics. Within this market, they can predict future trends based on past data and create algorithms that would help stakeholders involved not only to analyse current market state, but also receive likely future …show more content…

This will be a combination of data analytics created during the year to create an overview of market updates and conclusion of findings. ABB can fairly compete with research-based companies that price Low Voltage Motors reports at above $5000 (MarketsandMarkets, 2016) by entering market with an inferior price. Advanced option: Advanced option allows customers to get access to explicit live-data platform, which also creates weekly reports based on various algorithms within ABB cloud computing service (RAISE). It helps customers get access to various market trends ABB can create based on the big-data collected. Graphs and weekly market reports would otherwise be inaccessible to most stakeholders due to the size or lack of big data collected. It also protects ABB from disclosing their competitive advantage since graphs / interpretations are based on in-house algorithms.
