Mary Ann and Jack Gaffney told me to update them also, Jane Volk told me with giving me a letter and business card that employees couldn't harass or retaliate against me Ron Hartman echoed the same. I started referring to sections in the contract or University Policies when Mary Ann started quoting or emailed them to me with little support from the union or university. I couldn’t believe Pitt or the Union would let this go on Franicola, Supervisor and Donna Myers, Maintenance told several employees the University and union were making deals together Also; this wasn’t a real Union is that why they weren’t acknowledging my email? The Union or University wouldn’t take responsibility for Franicola coercing employees against each other and the favoritism. Yes,
Part A: The professor was driving to work one day, and another driver ran a red light, then hitting him. After this incident, whether the situation was harmless or not does not matter; as we saw with Watson's study, with little Albert and the white rat/rabbit. (Reference: Watson exposed a child to a series of stimuli with a white rat and a rabbit, then observing the child's reactions. The child initially showed no fear response on either animal. The next time Albert was exposed to the white rat, Watson made a loud noise by hitting a metal pipe with a hammer.

1. Describe the application you selected and why. The application I’ve selected is “Todoist: To-Do List, Task List” on Google Play (android). The reason I chose this application is because it has many useful functions and is simple to use.
1. What problems did you encounter when handling the complaint? Whenever I received complaints, the problem is that the subordinates usually deny or come up with some explanations making it difficult to discuss it in a genuine manner. Sometimes even if we reprimand them for their mistakes it creates a very tense environment in the hospital and it also affects the quality of work.
The existing interest in the topics was only amplified by those experiences, and I am very thankful for the outcome of them. I truly believe that the systems of government that make up the United States are the greatest in the world, and I would personally love nothing more than to travel to where they all reside and experience them firsthand through this program. This experience would enhance my understanding of how government really works and allow me to use that information to help serve others and benefit the things I do in my life that involve leadership. I could apply the lessons and information I learn here to the various activities, clubs, and organizations I am involved in to not only improve my experience in them, but the experiences of others as well, as that it what public service is truly about. As I said in the speech I gave while running for senate at Boys State, a leader and representative does not represent his or her own personal beliefs; he/she represents the beliefs and values of those who put him into office, and through the trust that is put into someone through the form of voting for them, the voter has every right to know what the official he has voted for is doing and representing, as they are the reason that official is in power.
Upon discovering the advertising industry through the American Advertising Federation Medgar Evers College Chapter, where I served as the Treasurer and Strategic Planner, I fortunately landed my first internship with the Omnicom Medgar Evers College Associates program where I was placed at DDB Worldwide as an account management on the State Farm account. Landing such an opportunity has reinforced my belief that advertising is an arena where I can challenge myself through critical thinking, creativity and innovation. Thus, I went on to applying to the 4A’s Multicultural Advertising Internship Program and was placed at Grey Group New York, providing account management support to the Hasbro Boys team. These two internships have given me an excellent opportunity to apply and enhance my prior academic and industry experience while learning from fellow interns as I establish a solid
In one of Plato’s most famous literary works, Apology, the author gives the reader exceptional insight inside into the mind and philosophical thoughts of Socrates, a Greek philosopher who can be considered the father of Western philosophy. The Apology is an analysis of the Trial of Socrates during the year of 399 B.C. Much of the philosophical ideas that are presented in this work are derived from a speech that Socrates is using in order to defend his thoughts and mindset in front of the Athenian Council. Socrates, who was a friend of Plato as well as his teacher, is defending his philosophical thoughts, as well as helping others comprehend the meaning of life so that they can change their lives as well. Socrates explains to the council who
Week Ten Reflection Blog While reading chapters twelve and thirteen of Development of Children and Adolescents, the social information processing model stuck out to me for a few reasons. First, the theory maps the clear steps one must take in order to carry out behaviors. In addition, it provides understanding as to why there may be gaps in one’s reactions. Therefore, the model describes how individuals can help others recognize the steps they are missing.
Jolivet did exactly that, in the workshop. She inspired me to want to become a Diversity Ambassador and reclaim my time, that I let steal my joy and happiness focusing on the stereotypes threats, for example, if you are single and an educated woman with an opinion you are a feminist who hate men. This is the total opposite of who I am however, again I am reclaiming my time and own who I am. Also, imposter syndrome fear of not being good enough. Good enough for whom, who set the standard and by what measure are you measuring yourself.
The areas of Social Work I am interested in are varied at this moment, I know that I will be working alongside other veterans but I expect to develop a more focused concentration through the course as I continue my education. I would like to become an advocate for social and economic justice and s where I can channel my strengths in a direction that will allow me to have an impact on many people’s lives. I believe my strengths are a combination of drive and strong work ethic that are essential attributes to have in order to obtaining
As a psychology major, I have always been interested in the mental processes of individuals. Another aspect that has always piqued my interest is why people act the way they do and make the decisions that they make. By working in the field of social work, I am given the chance to analyze the environmental influences on individuals' mental state and am more likely to gain insight to be able to answer that question. While assisting my clients I will be able to make them feel empowered, gain their independence, assist them in taking back their lives, and help them become functional members of society again. When speaking of nature versus nature, it is apparent that within studies, the biological aspect does play a role in who an individual is
