This paper seeks to analyze the “About Us” page of “Hubbs Machine & Manufacturing Inc., an Optical Targeting and Accessories company of Cedar Hill, Missouri” and compares it with their mission statement, in the hope of discovering if the content of the web site reflects the mission statement. In an article written by Susan Greene, retrieved from http://www.susangreenecopywriter.com/articles/write-killer-about-us-page.html, it was suggested three reasons why people visit your page because as: “most likely, they are prospective customers considering the purchase of your products or services, they are trying to determine if they can trust you , they want to peek behind the curtain and see if your company is one they would like to do business …show more content…

The opening statement was dedicated to the customer’s needs, challenges and objectives. The “about us” page contains an additional section called “our client” which sort of serve as testimonials, and further allows the reader to understand the company’s products line and target customers better. The page makes promises such “will go above and beyond to ensure customer delivery and satisfaction” which captures the mission, vision and goal and also may help convert a visitor to a customer. The company goes further to affirm their promise of customer satisfaction through their statement “we will do our best to make that successful completion happen” these affirmations seem to be an attempt at attracting customers and increase market share. Additional supporting information on the “about us” section clearly provides a brief history of the company. The use of words like “original and most trusted manufacturer of quality targeting, accessories, and tooling components” provides customers with an assurance of quality. It affirms their goals of quality of service and delivery of product. It definitely provides a balance between selling themselves to the customer without being too self-focus.
