Ladies and gentlemen, I am Dr. Anne Howard and I am the Dean of the students here at the University of Michigan. I am so pleased to be with you tonight and to have the chance to introduce our keynote speaker, Akosua Atweaban. She is a notable alumni of this school and has gone on to become Head Nurse at New York-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell. She has been one of the top nurses at this hospital for several years, and is a true stand out in this field.
Fortunately, I have seen a lot of success with two school state championships and competing at the nation’s highest level for the club. But this year, having graduated the majority of our school team, we began the season without much collective experience or talent. As the team captain and only returning starter, I knew that leading the team would be a challenge. Previously, I only had to do my job, but now, my maximum effort and personal commitment to perfection were necessary for our team’s success. My integrity on the court in practice and games had to grow this season, and I am incredibly grateful for this team that is so different from others on which I have played.
Football has been my favorite sport since I could run. Running free in the grass with friends and family made me appreciate the the quality of life I was blessed to have. Senior year of high school I went from league champions to below .500 records. Lake Winaukee was where the team would prep and practice for the upcoming season. As a senior, I felt I was obliged to help my team win football games and the place we could create chemistry was Lake Winaukee.
First, to the those who have made this night possible. I, and all the other graduates sitting here tonight would like to thank the Winton Woods High School Administration, Counselors, Teachers, as well as those from around the district, including the Winton Woods School District Board of Education and Superintendent for the countless nights that they invested in us over the past 13 years. While many times it felt like you were being unreasonable and much harder than necessary, we can see now, your persistent nature was borne from your unadulterated passion to ameliorate our lives for decades to come. Second, on behalf of the Winton Woods Class of 2017, we would all like to extend our deepest appreciation to the friends and family in attendance tonight.
Hello, Singh. How are you doing? How was your night? I hope you had a restful night and a splendid and safe day. About your message from yesterday, I told you that I read it slowly and paying too much attention in every word you wrote.
The last four years of my high school career have flew by, especially my Girard soccer career. Many memories were made throughout my career from making playoffs my sophomore year to playing my last soccer game on senior night. The endeavor of striving to make playoffs for the first time since the 90’s. I knew after playing my very last soccer game, that I contributed to something that was outstanding for this program. That’s something that I will remember for the rest of my life.
This year, I have continued to achieve academic excellence inside the classroom while continuing to be a leader in the St. Paul’s community. For the first semester, I have earned four A’s and three B’s in the full International Baccalaureate Program (my school will be sending my updated transcript). This winter, I earned the role of the captain of my varsity basketball team. I am a leader on the court and try to set an example for my teammates of how important it is to work hard in all aspects of life. This year has been the third year of the Jewish Awareness Club at St. Paul’s, which I founded in my sophomore year.
This war was inevitable. We all knew it. However, the extent of destruction, casualties and ruthless violence wasn’t anticipated. None of us could fathom what was occurring on this battlefield today, if we were told prior to this revolution. I was merely sixteen years of age and I enlisted for the war.
I wrote five different speeches to tell you tonight how Phi Theta Kappa has impacted me. There was the funny version, talking about how much fun we all have as the close group of friends we are. The nerdy version, where I had all these stories about carbon and graphene that showed what big chemistry nerd I am. There was a slightly obnoxious version that listed all the scholarships and awards I've gotten thanks to my work at Phi Theta Kappa. There was even a dark version, with story involving dead animals that, somehow, I thought it was a good idea.
Good Morning, Arlene, hope you are doing well. My name is Tyler Bowman, I’m a new outside sales rep for Graybar Electric. I have recently been assigned Record USA as one of my accounts. I just wanted to reach out and introduce myself and to see if you had any free time available this week or next. I would just like to have a quick conversation about Graybar and see if I can save you any money.
Thank you very much for your reply. It is not necessary to apologize. I know that you are doing your job and this is part of the process. To further clarify the situation, my husband and I were both previously married to other people and each had one kid from our previous marriages. Gabriella is my husband's biological daughter from a previous marriage and Ralph is my biological son from mine.
And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, those who are called according to his purpose. Patricia: Thank you son for the tea. By the way, I am not going to buy you a bible with your name on it, you have a bible, so, if you want one with your name on it, pay for it when you get your reward, that’s fair.
On this day the person who makes my life brighter came into this world. I know I cannot express everything how much I love you with these little words. But still, I will try to showcase my feeling with these words. I’d like to take this day as an opportunity to thank you. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me.
Welcome everybody to this beautiful wedding! I am so honored to be standing up here right now. Look at this beautiful couple "can 't you feel the love tonight" radiating off these two?
