Warren Bennis once said “leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” Leadership can be defined as the ability to influence others. Conventional wisdom defines leadership as the action of leading a group towards a common goal. The urban dictionary defines leadership as a great man or woman with certain traits that allow them to influence a group of followers. For a mission to be successfully accomplished is it important to have a strong leader. Although, good leaders often receive a high reward, there are many burdens that must be endured. The characteristics of a good leader begin with trust worthiness and honesty. One cannot be a strong leader without a vision and the ability to show by example.
