The ‘I love New York’ show tour ad. The music transformed that whole ad campaign, it promoted Broadway while also giving footing to the basis which was ‘I love New York’. It had a good vibe, it was an ad that made me smile. Not only the showmanship but also it was the glamour that is associated with Broadway, was on full display in that ad. The sequined costumes, the conductor with live music, the different cast’s singing this song. I like this ad because I like musical theatre, it captures that with the staple shows of Annie or the King and I or The Wiz or Grease. It essentially is a snapshot of the glamour that is associated with New York.

- George Lois did a lot for advertising and created names for these brands that are still used to this day. This ad made a new wave of how products were presented, there was only the song playing, instead relied on the emotional aspect. This mirror image of getting married and starting a new life and how that made the audience feel.
