We are on the edge of another historical election and Immigration and foreign policies will play a key role in who will become the next president. President Obama, and are current presidential candidates all agree our immigration system is broken and in need of an overhaul. But apparently the detrimental economic effects of illegal immigration in the United States are offset by the benefits of cheaper labor. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton discuss Immigration greatly, due to the massive amount of discussion to it. During the last presidential debate Donald Trump was speaking to the American people on live Television from University of Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judging by Donald Trump's persuasive pleas, this speech is directed toward people who do not already share his views. I believe the general population just does not have enough knowledge of how bad illegal immigration is. Donald Trump states he wants to build a wall across the U.S.-Mexico border. In his speech, I think that Trump assumes that Americans want to take responsibility for this problem. The second point Trump makes that we need to increase enforcement of immigration laws. He explains that not attempting to enforce the law jeopardizes the safety of all American citizens. I think that to him there are there are just no other options and he wants listeners to accept his ideas and values.
Trump also says employers should first seek to hire and focus on American workers. I believe Mr. Trump could have expounded on this point and exploded details of this option.One of the major changes in current law that Trump would like to see changed is and end to birthright citizenship.
