Introduction
Every leader has a specific leadership style when leading a group of people. For instance, when analyzing a leader, it is important to identify his or her sources of power, leadership style, strengths and how this leader is able to manage and handle a conflict in the most ethical way. Rath (2008) stated that a successful leader will not try to manage everything but relies on a strong team formed by people with different strengths. President Trump’s leadership style, strengths, socioeconomic status, power, and race will be discussed in this paper and how this impacts immigrant youth in this country.

President Trump has demonstrated efficiency and being able to connect and motivate others in his group, which is why he became a wealthy man and a successful businessman before he even became a president. President Trump has shown transformational leadership by motivating people to follow him and even vote for him. Moreover, it appears that he is focusing on what the country needs over his self-interest. Kruzel (2017) reported that for the second quarter in a row, he declined to take a salary and donated it to a government entity, which this time he gave it to the Department of Education even though article II, Sec. 1, Clause 7 of the Constitution stipulates that a president must be paid compensation. Glatzhofer (2018) stated that President Trump is goal-oriented, driven, motivates others, and is very passionate about what he does. Trump stated, “If you're interested in 'balancing' work and pleasure, stop trying to balance them. Instead, make your work more pleasurable” (Glatzhofer, 2018, para 7). According to Mayer and Salovey and Pellitteri, emotional intelligence is defined as a person’s ability to correctly perceive reality, understand and regulate how this person responds emotionally as well as how this person adapts and responds to other people (as cited in Scott-Ladd, Christopher, and Chan, 2014). After completing the questionnaire on President Trump, it was determined that his personal competency and emotional intelligence are extremely strong whereas his social skills were not as strong. It could be expected that his social skills would be extremely strong as a leader and a well-known public figure. Although, his emotional intelligence and personal competence are just as beneficial when it comes to leading the country; nevertheless, it would be even more beneficial to have better social skills, which would make leading the country easier and in a more peaceful way.
