One time the hatred between the two families effected Romeo and Juliets love was when Romeo reacted to his anger in a bad way which caused Tybalt to die. Tybalt wants to fight Romeo but Romeo refuses as they are related now. Mercutio answers Tybalt's insults on Romeo's half which leads to Mercutio and Tybalt to draw their swords, which ends in the result of Mercutio dying. Romeo out of anger agrees to fight Tybalt, “Thou wretched boy, that didst consort him here, /Shalt with him hence” (3.1.126-127). Romeo kills Tybalt in a duel to get revenge for Mercutio’s passing. The Capulets demand Romeo to pay with his life and despite Benvolio’s attempt to convince the prince to forgive Romeo for killing Tybalt, the prince instead banishes Romeo from Verona. The thesis is true because Romeo only thought about avenging Mercutio instead of the consequences, he would face which shows Romeo’s immaturity. Another time the hatred between the two families effected Romeo and Juliets love is when they did not tell their parents they were getting married to each other. The nurse and her servant go look for Romeo, when they find Romeo, he is with Benvolio and Mercutio, who were making fun of her for mispronouncing words. The nurse asks to speak to Romeo and private where she tells him she was sent by Juliet with a message, before she tells him the message she assures Romeo, “and as I told you, my young lady bid me enquire you out; what/she bid me say, I will keep to myself” (2.4.148-149). The nurse tells Romeo that their secret of getting married is safe with her and that she would not tell anyone. Romeo tells the nurse to let Juliet know to meet him at the Friar Lawrence cell in the afternoon around 2pm to get married. He also tells the nurse to collect a rope ladder for Romeo so that he can climb to Juliets window to celebrate their wedding
