-The Indian civilzations were mostly farmers, they believed in many gods, the peasants were taxed , and elite class ruled the society.
2. ( Address culture, politics, gender, inheritance, and religion ) How were eastern woodland Indian societies organized and governed?
-The farming people believed on agricultural cycle. They also believed on a spiritial world. Their homes were made out of wood and they lived in a forest. The societies were made up by clans. The clans were built around maize fields. They also hunted & gathered for food. Women were working on fields and then they will pass it to their daughters. The men were in charge of hunting & gathering.

This happened because of the land territory they had. Mesoamerica had a larger city and social class than North America. - Women in North America societie had more economic powers than in Mesoamerica because in North America they had a smaller settlement.

- Mercantilism is a doctrine which says that the goverment has control of the foreign trade. This doctrine made people to go and trade with different countries. They had laes that reduces the power of the classes. Since people can trade for free it made people pay higher taxes.

-The Europeans had a great military. They had high technology like weopons, map-making, and communication.
