Infatuation is the state of being infatuated. In other words, an individual who is infatuated will inspire or possess a foolish and unreasonable passion. Where as love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. While each definition may disclose a clear contrast in their meanings, distinguishing the difference in reality is not an easy task. When individuals are trying to determine if they're simply infatuated, or truly in love, it is crucial that one considers their feelings, the time period, and its direct effects. The bottom line is infatuation is delusional. A delusion that is controlled strictly by chemistry. The human body reacts to sexual desires much like it does when it comes to thirst and hunger. Through chemical reactions and its responses, the fulfillment of such needs seem to be necessary, but the fact is this...infatuation is a sudden burst of emotions, which seem to be infallible. However, when those emotions begin to dematerialize, signs of disinterest will arise. Shortly after, it'll become a realization that there is nothing left to offer in allowing the relationship to grow. As regret overwhelms the body, feelings of falling out of love will consume ones every thought. Questions such as, “Was it true?” or “Was it worth it?” will then float to the service. But in actuality, it was never love. Love is unconditional. It is a partnership between two individuals in which grows stronger as time goes on. As a result, individuals who are truly in love will feel a sense of contentment because of the secure bond they share with one another. Love is real.
