In fact, this practice will also allow us to discuss another type of presentation many of us are often called on to give: an impromptu presentation. • What is an impromptu presentation? (an unexpected presentation you must give with little preparation) • Why might you have to give an impromptu presentation? (response to a client question, project update in a weekly meeting, etc.) Presentation # 3 • You will now have a third opportunity to practice delivering a formal presentation. • You will be speaking on the topic of a hobby or favorite activity. • You should pay particular attention to practicing your visual delivery skills during this presentation. • Allow 2-3 minutes for the participants to prepare their presentations. • Be sure the participants understand that, again, they will not be using any notes while giving the presentation. Ask participants to present – and record each presentation – inform the participants that they will be stopped at 1 minute.
