I decided to do my research paper on the topic of the Americans with Disabilities Act because the topic is something that I am passionate about and something that I realize how important this law is to the individuals with disabilities as well as their families. In this paper about the Americans with Disabilities Act, I will explain why this Act was put into law and its importance. I will also explain the genesis of the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as major court cases and amendments. It is extremely difficult to pinpoint a specific movement to get that was responsible for getting the bill to the appropriate branches of government.
