Inside Mecca
1. It is important for Muslims to make the annual pilgrimage to Mecca as it is the first pillar of Islam. It is required to at least once in a Muslims life. It is essential to their religion.
2. The origin of the Hajj relates back to, two major stories in the Islamic faith. The Hajj relates to the two most important Islamic figures. The Kabah was built by Adam based on the cosmic plan handed down by God and then rebuilt by Abraham after the great flood, Muhammad had established the Hajj.
3. Some ways the characters in the movie prepare for the Hajj is by practicing the five pillars of Islam, praying and studying the Qu'ran. They also prepared by getting all

During the pilgrimage, pilgrims circle the Ka'bah seven times counterclockwise, they run between the hills of Sana, three mile journey to Mina, stone their pillar, a sacrifice is made using a sheep or goat, males shave their heads, and females cut a piece of their hair off.
8. They get asked if they are actually Muslim because of the sole fact they are a different race. They are black and white and have blue eyes which singles them out.
9. Pilgrims will travel 20 km to the plain of Arafat. They believe this is where Adam and Eve reunited after leaving Eden. They stand before Allah to ask for forgiveness, and it is important because failure to be present at the plain of Arafat on the required day, invalidates the pilgrimage.
10. These pillars represent temptation, places where Satan tempted Abraham away from the path of God. They believe Abraham was going to sacrifice Ishmael and Satan reasoned with him saying,"You are going to sacrifice your son?" And Abraham threw stones at Satan as a way to resist temptation.
11. The purpose of the feast of the sacrifice is it is a reminder of how Abraham passed God's test of sacrificing his only son and angel Gabriel appears and tells him that he passed his mission and gives him a lamb to sacrifice
