In my twenty-three-year career with the School District of Philadelphia, my leadership experiences have demonstrated that I can excel at all the essential functions and have the requirements needed to fill the position. The position of Academic Coach requires many essential functions to be successful. The three I feel most important are supporting all stakeholders involved, complete understanding of the mathematical instruction curriculum and implementing change to make positive growth in and out of the classroom.

In the article, "Utah football coach suspends entire team to build character," by Deseret News, Utica High School football coach, Matt Labrum, takes a stand. When it comes to high school football, teachers and coaches tend to be very passive about the boys behavior and grades. I really admire what Labrum did, even though it may have been a hard descion. The boys deserved any punishment they got after cyberbulling, disrespect, and lack of effort when it came to their grades. Most people would just ignore their innapropiate actions just so they could continue with the season.
White colonizers moving westward posed a huge threat to Native American tribes in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. These tribes were threatened with the loss of their homes, ways of life, and families when white people came to forcefully eject them from land that was rightfully theirs. Tecumseh, a Shawnee leader, recognized that the only way to defeat the violent white men was to unite his tribe with other tribes faced with the same problems. Tecumseh met with the neighboring tribe, the Osages, to deliver a speech calling for the unification of the tribes. Through his use of figurative language, diction, and allusion, Tecumseh attempts to unite the Shawnee with the Osages against their common enemy, the white man.

Coaches have many responsibilities on and off the field, however could you imagine what it would be like to be responsible for nine separate sport teams in addition to managing a budget and all the while preparing for and teaching classes? This is a typical daily duty of an athletic director. High School athletic directors are generally still classroom teachers who are responsible for monitoring the academic and graduation rates of student athletes, parents, and faculty to resolve problems . Athletic directors must be highly skilled at public relations.
Leader in Training Application Essay Ever since I was younger I always looked up to my cabin leaders and all the other staff and leaders around the camp and knew that was what I wanted to do one day. It’s always been a goal of mine to get to go lead cabins and share and teach people more about Jesus. This would be my 7th year at camp and I think it would be so great to get to go and teach kids about how awesome having a relationship with Christ is and to get to learn and grow in my relationship with him as well. It would be amazing getting to go and build relationships with some great people while getting to learn and grow in my faith.

Dear Dr. Cathleen Moore and the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, I would like to be considered for your Graduate Teaching Assistant position that was posted on 10/31/2017. I believe that I would be a great fit for this position due to my experiences as a teacher and my academic background in psychology. One reason I would be a great fit for this position is because I once held what seems to be a nearly identical position in college. At Southern Illinois University (SIU), I served as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Psychology under the tutelage of Dr. Meera Komarraju. In this position, I led a discussion section for a similar number of students that were mostly at the freshmen and sophomore level.
You decided to become a coach because you are driven to serve. You want to help people achieve their goals and dreams. You want to live a life of passion and purpose. You want the freedom of being paid to do what you love to do.
(2007) states that this is true with many great coaches today, who have admitted that they would not have been as successful if they did not have a good coach to help mentor and develop them. Coaching is not an easy term to define. American College of Sports Medicine maintains the following
For this assignment, we were asked to conduct coaching sessions in groups of three with our colleagues for two months and draft a reflective essay on our experience. SOAR Essay “ A coach is someone who tells you what you don't want to hear, who has to see what you don't want to see, so you can be who you always known you could be.” Tom Landry, one of the greatest football coaches of all time, said this is what it takes to be a coach. A research done on Australian coaches shows that “Coaching has the potential to play a significant role in shaping an individual and community’s identity, culture, and knowledge.” Coaches play a very effective role not only on kids but on adults as well. You can go to coaching for anything you need help with in life.
