Profiles of Engineers The purpose of this paper was to interview a professional engineer worker in my field of interest, which was computer science. The individual I chose was a male named Jimmy. I chose this individual because we shared similar experiences with a common goal. He inspires me to not give up when school gets tough, because this is just a small obstacle that everyone faces and those who choose to get up and push will achieve greatness. This individual is passionate and happy about his current career. I believe for one to be successful and happy in life, one must love what they do. I hope to successful and be able to inspire others my age when I grow up. I decided to interview this individual because when I got a chance to talk to him, I really enjoyed the conversation we had. At first he was unsure of what career path to take and told me to not worry if I do not find the perfect career. His first choice was to become a pharmacist, but he later figured that it was not for him. Jimmy then switched major to Computer Science because he was very interested in technology and how the world works virtually ever since he was a child. At first it was tough, but he told me that he was really passionate once he started to learn more about how programs work. I believe that as long as a person enjoys and is passionate about something they will not be discourage to stop trying. Besides classes, he actively went out to find internships with many companies and improve his coding skills. Jimmy was able to easily find a job after his degree due to his extracurriculars/internships. The best advice he could give me was to go out and seek for internships to put me ahead of others and a reason for a company to hire me over others, which I highly
