How many google searches have you ever made? Our nation has become contingent on technology, for doing all of its mundane tasks. Have you ever thought about the impending risks of technology? Technology is impairing our society by thinking for us, distracting us and monetizing off of us.
Have you ever heard of the matrix? Summed up the matrix is a realm which we live in, where creatures called “Ai” short for artificial intelligence harvest our geothermal energy. This “AI” started as our simple computer programs then after many years of progress they were able to think for themselves. Technology thinks for us, all anyone has to do is type a few words into a search engine and bam, heaps of results at your fingertips. “Our ability to think deeply about that information” (social media as community) society being able to access googles of information instantaneously isn’t what makes it intelligent. You will under no circumstances end up thinking deeply if your always texting and surfing the web.
Another way technology is impairing our society is by being a distraction. “If we are distracted, we understand less, remember less, and learn less.”(Is google making us stupid?)
