¨Global warming isn't a prediction. It is happening.¨ - James Hansen. Global warming is the increase of the overall temperature of earth's atmosphere caused by greenhouse gases. ¨Animals have spent millions of years adapting to rapidly transform in response to climate change, reducing their ability to fulfill the species' needs.¨(How Is Wildlife Affected By Global Warming, Thoughtco.) This shows that global warming is causing animals to change their lifestyles to adapt to the increase of heat. Global warming is affecting the lives of some animals in a negative way where certain creatures are having their habitats and their lives being altered by climate change to the point where they may not be able to live. To add to that ¨Beyond habitat displacement, many scientists agree that global warming is causing a shift in the timing of various natural cyclical events in the lives of animals¨.(How Is Wildlife Affected By Global Warming, Thoughtco.) This shows that some creatures life cycles are being affected by climate change. Global warming might also affect baby animals lives as they may not know how to adapt to the weather changes. This is important because if climate change gets out of hand than it could lead to the possibility of extinctinction to certain species. Just because most people do not see the effects that global warming has on wildlife does not mean that it is not …show more content…

“The planet's average surface temperature has risen about 2.0 degrees Fahrenheit (1.1 degrees Celsius) since the late 19th century, a change driven largely by increased carbon dioxide and other human-made emissions into the atmosphere.”(Climate change: How do we know?, Nasa) This proves that the planet is warming up due to global warming. Even if it going at a slow pace this shows that it is happening. This is important because most people don’t realize that global warming is going on right now and will be affecting us throughout the future. “Most of the warming occurred in the past 35 years, with 16 of the 17 warmest years on record occurring since 2001.”(Climate change: How do we know?, Nasa)This shows that global warming is not just a thing of the past but it is happening right now and will continue to occur throughout our lives. If the planet heats up to much it will have a jurassic effect on humans. If we as humans can’t control global warming we may suffer in the near
