Isis Terrorist Group Topic#1 Isis is a very popular terrorist group that is going around the world threatening and killing thousands of innocent people. The purpose of this paper, is to explore the inside of Isis and whether or not it is a faith based terrorist organization. Isis was formed a long time ago before it became a big threat towards the U.S. In the beginning, Isis was simply a loosely formed terrorist organization that showed no threat to any country anywhere. Others believe that Isis is just another terrorist organization wanting power, however the thing that separates them and other groups is that they have the ability to get power now. “Religion, Islam specifically, may not be the driving factor for ISIS, but there is no doubt that Islam is a factor in some way” (Violence). As shown in the quote, although religion may be a factor in Isis, it is certainly not the driving factor that keeps Isis on their path towards world domination. From a person of powers perspective, such as President Barack Obama, the thought process he would go through rather than mine is very different. The presidents job in this situation as the leader of the free world is to end it in any and every way possible. Many people are blaming the president for not taking action upon the terrorist group when they were discovered October 15, 2006 because they were not viewed as a global threat. Isis is currently in control of a large portion of land especially for a terrorist group.
