What is isolation? Isolation is a where a person separates themselves from other people and groups. It can be a feeling of depression and loneliness. Isolation is a worldwide mental health problem people have. Here are a couple reasons why people suffer from isolation; they live by themselves, withdraw from family and friends, and often have low self-esteem. So they often isolate themselves from the outside world. Those who are emotionally isolated tend to withdraw socially as do those who have introverted personalities (“Why Do People Isolate Themselves From Others”). There have been many psychological experiments on the effects of isolation and sensory deprivation, some of which had to be called off due to the extreme and bizarre reactions
