Jack London’s writing often emphasizes the nature of animals and giving them the same lifestyle and shape as a human being. Jack london’s most famous novel is Call of the wild. Most of Jack london’s writings are based off the nature of animals and their relations with humans. Jack London wrote many short stories and novels. Through his writing Jack London traveled throughout the world and gained the knowledge of writing and fame around the world. The personal adventures of Jack london lent to the adventurous writing in his novels earning him fame, fortune and a reputation as one of the world’s greatest writers. He began to have an affair with a woman named Charmian Kittredge. Jack started traveling again and February 1904 he went to Japan to cover the Russo-Japanese war. While there he crossed Yellow sea in a junck. Then was arrested by Japanese for intruding then brought back home to his soon to be ex wife. On November 1905, Jack divorced Bess and married Charmaine the next day. Soon Jack made plans to travel again this time on a boat called “The Snark”. Jack and Charmaine returned home from selling to oakland 1910, and were expecting a child. She delivered a baby girl they named Joy, but only lived for two days. Jack and Charmaine soon took a trip to the hawaii islands. During this trip jack wrote many famous books and got inspiration from the trip. Jack wrote a famous novel Call of the Wild. Then later he bought another boat and wrote “The Sea Wolf.” Also during the trip Jack learned of tropical diseases which he caught yaws, and had to stay at an australian hospital. He was treated with mercury chloride (also causing kidney damage). Jack was forced to go home. (source #2 loveday.) The Scarlet Plague begins with a boy and his grandfather go hunting for skins, and they fight off a bear. The boy finds out a thing called the scarlet plague, and he ask his grandfather to tell him about what happened. The grandfather tells him the tragic story of the scarlet plague. The story begins as a captain of a boat is sailing and finds a man that is shipwreck and brings him on board.
