John Wayne Gacy was one of the most vicious serial killers to exist in the United States history. He was known as the clown who killed. He was convicted of 33 murders in total, all of his victims were male and most of them consisted of teenage boys. Gacy was first convicted of sexual assault in 1968, and he had later went on to kill 33 young males. Twenty-Nine of those bodies were buried underneath his property in the Chicago Suburbs and four were found in a nearby river. John Wayne Gacy was found guilty in 1980, and was given multiple death penalty and life sentences. He was executed on May 10, 1994, by lethal injection. (“Muderpedia,” n.d.) Gacy began to get weary of digging holes in his crawl space, he wanted space that was available to him at all times. Therefore, he hired David Cram to make some more space. One night when Cram arrived home, he found Gacy drunk and in his own clown costume. They both had a few drinks and Gacy tricked Cram into some handcuffs, however, he managed to grab the keys and escape to his room. In 1978, Des Plaines police managed to do what Chicago police failed to for years, they checked his records. They discovered that he had done time for sodomy in the past. He was the second of three children. Gacy was of Polish and Danish heritage and he had a troubled relationship with his father, who was an alcoholic. His father was physically and verbally abusive towards him, his siblings and his mother. The kids grew up in a house with a drunken father. Gacy, however, loved his father and was desperate to gain his approval and attention. At elven years of age, Gacy was struck on the forehead by a swing. The head trauma of this incident formed a blood clot in his brain that went unnoticed until the age of sixteen. He suffered blackouts and was prescribed medicine for this. (“bio.,”
