Joining A Band In High School

Janice Markowitz once stated that, “If I had it all to do over again, I would do most all things differently. However, how would I know that if, I had not had the opportunity to do them the first time.” I have had a lot of intellectually abilities and advances in my life, especially in mathematics, but of course I would do other things over. I have advanced in math, being able to almost anyone with their math classes, since I have taken almost all the classes available, up to Advanced Placement Calculus BC and Advanced Placement Statistics. In comparison, in English I am more introverted, such as having difficulties explaining my opinions to my Advanced Placement English IV class, yet I would have the best ideas and irritate my teacher due to the fact that I would submit my work …show more content…

To me band seems to be a very united group and I have always wanted to be in band and learn how to play an instrument, particularly the piano. I have even considered joining band in college, so it is not too late for that, but I believe that it is too late for high school band, since I am about half way through my senior year. A few of my friends are participating in band and they are always talking about how they found a new way of thinking and memorizing information from the band. By joining the band many of my shy friends have came out of their shells and learned to be more out going and better present their information due to their competitions and such that they present in front of thousands of people that are judging them. SinceI have always been really introverted individual, I believe that joining the band it would have helped me come out of my shell also. Also by joining the band I would have made relationships with people that ordinarily I would not be friends with, and have a club that I could have participated in for the past seven years, through out my middle school and high school
