Space the final frontier, or is it. Space is very interesting, all the new matter and elements, the unknown, but we need one very important thing to get there, energy. Energy is a ticking time bomb, with carbon emissions in our atmosphere speeding the doomsday clock up we need to find new ways to make energy and fast. This can be very treacherous, time consuming, and unexplored just like the journeys to Mars in the Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. Making new forms of energy is treacherous because people can be dealing with nuclear energy, experimenting with new ideas of energy, or when installing new forms of energy . When dealing with nuclear energy one small thing could kill them with one mistake. When they are dealing with new forms of energy they are dealing with unknown variables that could be catastrophic with one miscalculation. When installing these forms of energy they can be dealing with one or both of the same risks previously mentioned. In …show more content…

When coming up with an idea for a new form of energy time is not going to be your friend as it could take weeks or maybe even years. If you’re trying to integrate your new idea for energy you’ll have to get the rights to set it up and then setting up can take years. When getting the materials for that new form of energy you may have the parts with you or you may need to order or make the parts yourself which is very time consuming. In all of these situations it is very time consuming like if you were preparing for moving to mars and the construction of the rockets. On page 85 Spender said “... That’ll delay the next trip in a rocket for a good five years.” this states that it takes at least five year to be able to make another rocket to go to Mars. Going to Mars and creating the sources that power the rockets will and already do take a long
