Supreme Beings The role of a supreme being is majorly important in a religion. Monotheistic religions (religions that only worship one god), and polytheistic religions (religions that worship multiple gods). There are very few nontheistic religions (religions that do not worship a god or supreme being). This paper will be limited to monotheistic and polytheistic religions and their supreme beings.
