Juveniles commit serious crimes without thinking of the consequences. Every crime should be sentenced fairly and according to the crime committed. Minors commit violence against innocents. Thus, they must be able to take responsibility for their actions. If the youth is old enough to commit such a crime, they are old enough to receive liable punishment. Juveniles in juvenile court are tried properly, but to a certain degree. A minor can commit a serious crime, but be out by the time they are a young adult. The whole juvenile justice system is intuitively wrong. A juvenile can commit a serious crime but receive lenient punishment.
