The Iowa State University Greek Community holds itself to a higher standard. As a member of this greek community, I strive to uphold the pillars of leadership, philanthropy, friendship, and scholarship in my daily life. I do this by being an involved member of the Sigma Sigma chapter of Kappa Delta.

Through Kappa Delta I have been introduced to women who challenge me to grow as a leader and as an individual. Without these women’s help, I would have never had the confidence to gain leadership roles within the house and within the Iowa State community. I currently hold four leadership positions in Kappa Delta, including Standards Board member, Social Media Chair, Alumnae Relations Chair, and Family Weekend committee. Our philanthropy of assisting the Girl Scouts sell cookies allows me the chance to do just that. With this opportunity, I encourage the importance of strong character in these girls, while learning valuable life lessons in the process. Outside of these philanthropic events, I am also involved with Sparkle Squad, a cheer team that includes individuals with disabilities. This opportunity has enabled me to instill confidence in these men and women while taking the initiative in combining my passions for helping others and cheerleading.

As a women of Kappa Delta, I strive to live out the values of classy, confident, and committed every single day. Daily, I am reminded how fortunate I am to be surrounded by women who embody those traits. I look up to these women as my motivators and I strive to instill the same drive in others around me. I know wholeheartedly these women will stand by me during the hardest times and celebrate with me in the happiest times, as I will be there to do the same for them. These mutually beneficial friendships are ones I will cherish for a
