When I was reading about what many of these scholars were talking about the Green Exercise I was very fascinated that many of their thoughts were almost or close to what I have though about Green Exercise. When I first started this assignment I didn’t know why a professor would assign an assignment that would require you to exercise. I thought English was a class that you sat in all day and explore new books or discoveries that were in books, but when this Green exercise assignment started I enjoyed every minute of it. I had a friend join me with this exercise and she is one of my co-workers at work. She never expected me to ask her to go to the park, she was expecting, “Hey do you want to go to the movies with me”? I was at first scared to ask her, but when I asked her she was ready to move and maybe try to beat me in a race. She is a very athletic person and is very competitive when it comes to sports. She gathered all her friends together and had kind of a hang out day she ended up trying to race everyone. We started to become closer friends, I got to talk to new people and became more socialized then I’ll ever be, I usually have a couple friends here and there but never had lots of friends, after this exercise I just want to talk to everyone that I know and just talk while we jog, run, or even walk. When you have a different mindset and forget about your electronics you don’t realize how many people there are in the world. For instance it is like you putting on ear pods canceling the outside world and not actually know the truth about the chitter chatter going on in the bus, or even people that say hi to you but since you canceling them out you don’t really seem to acknowledge then at all. When people did the Green exercise I realize that when you smile more you are less likely to die compared to a person who is always grumpy. When you walk with your new friends you don’t just stand there and not offer the seat to them, you try to do everything that is in favor to help them out and that makes you a better person. I know that with this Green exercise I could lose more weight and that makes me happy, I love losing weight and exploring nature and that is something special that make me feel wanted somewhat and that I belong to something special and that is what exactly what is going on. If we want to be friendly go ask random strangers to become your friend and from there the green exercise will no longer be individual but be a whole as a group. As a group we ties greater bond and is not breakable compared to those that are older then they are. We have a system that makes people either happy or sad we just need to find and it and create a happy environment so that people feel more
