In Macbeth by author William Shakespeare, Macbeth is more of a calm and supportive husband while Lady Macbeth is all about taking over the power all to herself and being ruthless. Throughout the play, Macbeth is curious about the fate that the witches prophesy over him, they prophesy that he will be king. During the middle of the play, Lady Macbeth wanted Macbeth to kill Duncan so they could take over the power. Macbeth is forced into doing so and Lady Macbeth is driven to kill anybody or anything that comes in her way. Her emotions throughout the play are of ambition, terror, and strong-willedness. Example, in the play, she is the one who suggests to Macbeth that he should kill Duncan so the witches prophecies will come true. Lady Macbeth says this because she wants all the power to herself, that's what she will get if Macbeth becomes King. (Shakespeare 1) All in all, Lady Macbeth was a very ambitious woman with everything she wanted to do and accomplish. Lady Macbeth shows signs of terror towards the middle of this play in multiple ways. Lady Macbeth feels terror in different ways “Out, damned spot”Lady Macbeth feels guilt for her part in the murder of Duncans murder (Shakespeare 5). She is scared of the consequences, The sense of guilt seeps in and her sensitivity becomes a weakness, she is unable to cope. She ends up killing herself after this all takes place because she can not stand to live with the fact of what she did.
