The mission of the Le Mars Community School District is to guide every student in achieving the highest possible education by teaching the basic skills, developing good character, and promoting life-long learning, all through an aggressive partnership with students, families, school, and community. I have seen and read this mission statement, of the Le Mars Community School District, many times throughout my high school career. I am a student, continually assessed. I am observed in my behavior, my character and my personality. I also set goals and try to follow thru with each and every one, even though they are not always easy. I will not succeed in life if I do not fulfill my duty to accomplish my goals and work hard each and every day. I am honored to be given this opportunity to be involved in National Honor Society. The level of academics is important to not only the student, but also the student’s career. I have taken great pride in my grades since I began Kindergarten. Throughout elementary, middle school, and high school, I have focused hard on achieving the grades I desired. During elementary and middle school I have participated in many academic events such as challenge, math bee, and a science fair. As I began high school, a reality check set in when I realized I needed to put more time and focus into school. Independently, I push myself everyday, maintaining my place on the Honor Roll. I am also proud of my GPA of 3.409 and class rank of 44 out of 160. My education has helped me become who I am today, by teaching me where I want to be in the future.
