M3 Task: Explain how an awareness of learning styles can aid your development In this task I will be explaining how an awareness of learning styles can aid your development in being an effective learner. There are different types of learning styles that different people have and I’ll be explaining how these aid the learner to progress. For example there are 3 main learning styles these are Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic.
I am, a Kinesthetic and Auditory learner because I’m very good at sports like football and other sports. To add on, I’m good at good at listening, reading, writing, and math. In addition, I also am very good at science every year that I was in science I scored higher than the scoring average for all the grades I have been in. To sum, it all up that is why I am a Auditory, and a Kinesthetic learner.
The third learning type is Visual, this can include graphs, charts, diagrams, etc. Learning something literally by seeing the big picture in front of you. Personally, I love seeing the big picture, and honestly I don’t know anyone that doesn’t. When I am trying to put together something, for example hooking up a Wi-Fi I want to not only be able to read the instructions off the pamphlet, but I want to be able to see step by step picture examples. The fourth learning style is Read or Write, and this can consist of lists and notes.
The best way for a kinaesthetic learner is to take information by doing activities and that involves touching, feeling, holding and doing practical work. Auditory Auditory learning is a style which a person learns by listening. It is mainly listening to someone talk
The other two that REF details are elaborative rehearsal and mnemonic devices. I use elaborative rehearsal all the time. To me, elaborative rehearsal is how I learn. For me learning something is building on what you already know and incorporating the new data or information into what is comfortable and known. I have never had much use for mnemonic devices.
Learning styles are important as people can process more in their learning and if they do not informed then it would decrease their learning capacity.
Tyne’s article starts out broad and then narrows in on each learning style. Tyne gives examples of the strengths and weaknesses of people with each of the three learning styles and encourages parents to identify their child’s learning style. LSSU is half as long as Tyne’s article. “Kinaesthetic, Auditory, and Visual Learning Styles for Children” is written in a more persuasive manner. Opposed to “What Learning Style Does Your Student Use?” which is more expository article.

A website called VARK, created by author Neil D. Fleming and co-author Charles C. Bonwell, has a questionnaire that you can take to see what kind of learner you are. After completing the questionnaire, it indicated that I am a multimodal learner. It informed me that I use visual and kinesthetic strategies the most throughout my English, FYES, and math classes to help me learn. In English, I use some of these strategies, such as hands-on approaches and underlining with different color highlighters.
In implementing Organizational Strategy decisions, these are the decisions that are required: a) What content should be presented? b) How should this content be presented? c) What sequence should the instruction follow? Appendix 4 provides an overview of the content of the course that will be presented.
Who am I as a learner ? As a learner i am a visual learner. I am a visual learner because I have to see the directions for a project to be able to complete the project. if i don’t see the directions i will not be able to complete the task i am asked to do. am a tactile learner because one i have to touch everything.
As I go through this assessment, it has shown about two way friendship. I am friendly person so I can make friend easily. The other thing that I notice in this assessment is how better I become friends with most of the people. Friendships with people that I have known for a long time can have a big impact on my life. I always say sorry when I do something wrong
