Lebron James and Michael Jordan are seen to some as the two greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. Lebron at the age of seventeen was deemed “The Chosen One” by Sports Illustrated as he became the first ever high schooler to make the cover of the magazine. As an eighteen year old kid straight out of highschool, Lebron was taken number one in the NBA draft by his hometown team the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since then he has been on a fifteen year terror on the NBA. Michael Jordan is regarded by majority of NBA fans and players as the greatest basketball player ever. His jaw dropping moves and acrobatic finishes at the rim left people in complete shock. Unlike Lebron, Michael was not ready for the NBA out of high school so he chose to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of North Carolina where he would go on to win a national championship. …show more content…

James in 2017 made over eighty million dollars which includes endorsement and contract money from the Cavaliers. He even invested in a restaurant by the name of Blaze Pizza in which he totalled 35 million dollars from in four years. Lebron has also shown major interest in owning an NBA team which could very well be his launch to billionaire status. On the other hand, Jordan has already hit billionaire status. Over two decades have passed since Jordan has played an NBA game. However, people all over the world line up to wait for the release of the shoes. In 2015 Jordan earned an estimated 3 billion dollars just from his shoes alone. On top of his large influx of money from the sneakers, Jordan also owns an NBA team the Charlotte Hornets. This gives him an estimated 450 million dollars a year. Thats an extreme amount of cash flow for a retired basketball player.
