Leonardo Da Vinci was a painter, inventor, mathematician, and writer in the Renaissance. He became very popular as his work spread across the world. Some of his most popular work is the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Vitruvian Man, Lady with an Ermine, and Self-portrait. With his work growing in popularity his artwork was looked as a model. With his famous painting, the Mona Lisa, there is a foggy background.
Leonardo Leonardo DA Vinci is considered by some as the most intelligent man that has ever lived. His ideas are still studied and used today. Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452 in a farmhouse nestled in the hills of Tuscany outside the village of Anchiano, which is present day Italy. His father was Sir Piero and his mother was a young peasant woman by the name of Caterina. Leonardo was born out of wedlock and had family problems in his youth years.
Metal was a limited material at the time, which resulted in the duke having to select between canon balls or Leonardo's horse. The metal ended up being used to produce canon balls, ending Leonardo's project. Leonardo da Vinci is recognized to be one of the best Italian artist in his time. However, he isn't only known for his art, but also his scientific studies. Leonardo studied a variety of scientific study, from science of mechanics to anatomy, his interest in the human body and it's movement helped peaked him into an interest in art. One of his interests were in mechanics, as he had many ideas and designs of aircraft,helicopters and parachute that was far ahead of his time.
