Like we know, Leonardo Da Vinci’s was too prolific: he was architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, writer, sculptor and painter. His discoveries are used in any form of art today. “For Leonardo, art and science were a unified field of inquiry. Both were related ways of examining the world. Each ultimately developed its own processes and methods with which to pursue truth” (housefield, J. E.). Why this phrase? We must remember the liberal arts: better known under the names Trivium (or the verbal arts: grammar, logic, and rhetoric) and Quadrivium (the mathematical arts: geometry, music, and astronomy.).
