He was an illegitimate child born on April 15, 1452, in Anchiano, Italy. He lived in Anchiano for five years until he and his family moved to a small town called Vinci. Interestingly, his surname means "of Vinci.

Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452 in a farmhouse nestled in the hills of Tuscany outside the village of Anchiano, which is present day Italy. Leonardo’s first independent commission was to create an altarpiece to reside in a chapel inside Florence’s Palazzo Vecchio. He was also tasked to create a paint in “Adoration of Magi.” However, he never finished both of these commissions as he fled the city. The young artist also had an interest botany, geology, zoology, hydraulics, aeronautics and physics. He sketched numerous amounts of observations and filled dozens of notebooks with his scientific observations.

Age 15, he worked under the artist Andrea Del Veroccio in Florence, where his love for art blossomed out, even much so that his teacher was intimidated by him. When he moved around and changed his scenery was when his inner love for his work and inventing was revealed.

He also inspired many exhibits such as the Da Vinci Exhibition. At the Exhibition they have recreations of many of Da Vinci’s most substantial inventions that we use in our everyday modern day life, which without him could have never been possible. Da Vinci was known for thousand of designs that became things that we use today and know for this that he never released but, were instead kept secret so that people could not use them for evil.
Leonardo Da Vinci is a famous artist he painted the famous art Mona Lisa. He is is also known for the things he invented but sometimes it didn’t workout as he thought it would. It started when he was a young lad, he loved math, science, and art. Since he knew a lot about science he was always inventing new things for were he lived.
