I am deeply interested in the Software/Firmware Engineer Student position for Summer 2016, which I found on the Lexmark Careers website. I have long held your company in high regard. I remember being amazed, many years ago, when I purchased an inexpensive Lexmark scanner that could reliably convert printed text into editable documents. As revolutionary as that seemed at the time, I know your company has continued to develop innovative products that go far beyond that simple task, and likely far beyond what I can even imagine. Teaching Mathematics is, in essence, breaking tasks into a series of sequential steps and communicating the steps with others, which is much like writing algorithms. I have experience communicating and collaborating with diverse groups of people at many educational levels, and I know how to write documents suited for a variety of audiences. Parents, students, and the community as a whole are the “customers” of any school, and I have learned how to work well with all of these groups.
