The way of knowing about the Law leaves out important aspects of the society, “legal language flattens and confines in absolutes the complexity of meaning inherent in any given problem […] a paradigm of larger social perceptions that divide public from private, black from white, dispossessed from legitimate” (Williams, 1991, pp. 6-7). The quote explains the way in law many aspects of the social life, of reality, as left out. This division in Law leaves out important aspects that should be taken into consideration. Legal language can disguise important cultural, social, historical aspects that may affect the interpretation and the consequences of a legal decision or a law, by its way of “flattening” important topics. Therefore, the Law is not written in stone and aspects of reality should be taken into consideration.
Dear _______________: I am writing this Letter of Intent to advise you that I will be applying to Abilene Christian University for the Ed. I have held leadership positions prior to becoming part of academia, and have found them to be a good fit for me.

Teagan Nurnberger Cover Letter DHH 350 For this unit, I wanted to explore what it was like to write lesson plans for a high school mathematics class. Algebra was one of my favorite classes in high school and I was interested in writing out lessons for that subject. I believe algebra is a very computational heavy course and I wanted to find a way to explore how to teach that and convey the rules in an engaging way.

Laws are what make places socially organized, safe and easier to control. Laws make it so that it isn't hard to live day to day life comfortably. Thanks to the superiors and Hammurabi, Babylon who started making the first laws in 1772 BC, people all around the world have laws. It's important that we have laws because if the laws are broken there's specific consequences that nobody likes. Sometimes the consequences last a lifetime.

In today’s society, law and its ever-changing nature is the pinnacle of our human relations. The extensive effect that the law has on humanity is something which greatly fascinates me. Historical affairs such as the London riots have informed me about the importance of law within our everyday lives, due to its ability to restore order. Harper Lee’s novel ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ captured me through the power and necessity of justice and defence which it portrays, regardless of social prejudices.
First of all, lawyers account for one of the unhappiest professions in the world. Second, studying the law is no easy investment of time or money. Even the cheapest law schools force their students to swim in debt and spend three years of their lives nose deep in books on complex, arduous, and sometimes boring studies. Moreover, the legal profession is essentially a trade profession. One should not study law in order to better themselves (although this can be a byproduct), but rather should study it in order to become a lawyer and practice law.
The laws stand as a basic understanding of right from wrong and allowed civilizations to keep the most peace among their people as they
From an early age, I have known that I wanted to pursue an education and career in law. My intent is to represent my degree and the legal profession in the most professional and positive manner. Equally as important, to be a positive contributor to the lives of any people I may interact with. From my education, I have come to understand the importance and issues regarding the law, and that the many different fields of law transcend into every aspect of society. Further, that maintaining the law is an integral part of providing societal order and that the prevention of injustices are impossible without sufficient legal representation.
