I chose the Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership because I am currently in the role of Dean at a community college, and I would like to broaden my skills and analytical ability to eventually become a Vice President of Academic Affairs, and later to become a President of a community College. This will be a key element of how I will further develop my skill sets as a positive leader within diverse populations. Each course in the program will advance my knowledge and application of effective strategies through application and analysis. Additionally, Abilene Christian University is a God-centered institution that upholds the
Christian beliefs that I have valued and practiced throughout my entire life. I want to continue to be a leader with strong morals and high character with my faith at the core of everything I do.
It is important to me to be part of a culture that promotes high values and standards. My background is technical in nature and I have managed many projects in my career. I believe that this experience will assist me with staying on track and completing my degree in a timely manner. I have the knowledge, ability, and skills to work expeditiously through the program. My excellent communication skills give me the ability to relate well to all people.
