Dear Ms. Patiak and Ms. Manuel, I am writing this letter to let my expressed interest in running for the president position of Mu Alpha Theta in 2024-2025 be known. I see that my leadership skills and my passion for mathematics will spark inspiration within the community of SDA to further their knowledge of math. I maintain proof of my keen interest in math with my 4.0 average and leadership as STEM Club president during my junior year. Sending more emails and discussing with teachers to reach out to students to realize their potential in math with the help of Mu Alpha Theta tutoring. To engage the students in math-related activities other than a required class, important math days should be communicated to the school with an explanation and an activity. For Pi Day, pie is usually brought in to celebrate because of its similar name. However, with the addition of a few pies, of course, there should be a competition for the students to see who can list off the most digits of pi to show off the significance of the never-ending irrational number. The winner will most likely win a small prize of a gift card to gain attention, so students will enter to compete. For other significant math days of celebration, there can be a scavenger hunt where the clues contain math problems or facts, or a kahoot is created to encourage participation in math-related activities. An activity or competition with a little incentive is always a great idea to teach the student body about math-related facts and inspire interest in the
