Throughout history, there have been many people who defied authority for the greater good. These people have all made a change in our world in a positive way. In this essay there will be lots of information on how certain people defied authority for the greater good. They all had a huge impact on the country, and they are remembered, and celebrated each day. Martin Luther King Jr, Malala Yousafzai, and Rosa Parks were all people who made a huge change in our world. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks came home from a hard, and exhausting day at work. All she wanted to do was get home safely. Back in the day, white people sat at the front of the bus, and black people sat in the back. But on this day the bus was filling up, and there were not enough seats for all of the white people to sit. Due to this, the bus driver called for all of the black people to stand up so that the white people could sit. Everyone obeyed, except Rosa. Rosa Parks held her head up high, and remained seated in her seat. Everyone was shocked by what Rosa did, but she did not care. Later, Rosa was arrested and fined $10 for her actions. People say that Rosa didn't give up her seat because she was physically tired from her day at work, but that was not the case. She was tired of giving in.
