The meaning of “goodness is caused by intentional activity” is that goodness is a result of conscious activity and training. To have good, human nature people have to be conscious and focused on what they are doing. While in Lord of the Flies written by William Golding, he depicts a society riddled with evil, which is an accurate depiction and encapsulates the violent nature of humans across other pieces of literature and the real world. Near the beginning of the novel there were seven commandments; at the end of the book there was now only one commandment that states, “ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS” (Orwell).
